1) MAYASAL SHRIMP FARMS – PACIFIC COAST GUATEMALA, CENTRAL AMERICA
The Acuamaya group owns and operates the Mayasal shrimp farms in the Pacific Coast of Guatemala, Central America, with extensions of about 350 hectares. The ideal conditions of the farms, together with one of the best teams of technicians in the industry, allows the Acuamaya group to consistently produce great quality shrimp with at high densities.
ACUAMAYA’S SEAFOOD PROCESSING PLANT – GUATEMALA CITY
Acuamaya’s production farms are complemented with a modern, state of the art processing, packing and freezing plant with a capacity of 70,000 pounds per day, which is conveniently located in Guatemala City. The plant also processes the shrimp for many local producers and meets all of the standards and certifications required to export to the most demanding markets, including HACCP and European Market Certifications.
ACUAMAYA’S LA CANDELARIA HATCHERY IN THE PACIFIC COAST OF MONTERRICO, GUATEMALA
In order to fully control the entire life cycle of the Shrimp production process, Acuamaya also owns and manages its own maturation and hatchery facilities for nauplii and post larvae production.
These are recognized as one of the top of its kind in Central America and is strategically located in the South Coast, where superior, disease resistance families are being produced. The production of post larvae has surpassed 1,200 million per year making it one of the largest in the region.
